Account Information
Users may choose to sign in with Google or continue using BacHelper as a guest.
When a user signs in with Google, BacHelper may receive and store basic account information provided by Google, such as:
- User ID.
- Display name.
- Email address.
- Profile photo URL.
Guest users can use the App without creating a Google account. Guest data is stored locally on the device unless the user later signs in and uses online community features.
Study Profile and Local Learning Data
BacHelper stores study-related information needed for app functionality, including:
- Study division / branch ("shuba").
- Selected subjects.
- Study schedule and study sessions.
- Pomodoro progress.
- Lessons, lesson notes, completed lessons, and subject progress.
- Personal notes and reminders.
- Video notes.
- App preferences, tutorial status, notification settings, and login state.
Most study data is stored locally on the user's device using SharedPreferences.
Community Data
If the user signs in and uses the community section, BacHelper may collect and store online community data in Firebase, including:
- User profile information shown in the community, such as username, profile photo, user ID, and study division.
- Posts created by the user.
- Post images uploaded by the user.
- Comments and replies.
- Likes and follows.
- Reports submitted by users.
- Warnings, bans, and moderation records where applicable.
- In-app community notifications, such as warning, ban, and unban notifications.
Community posts may be visible to other users depending on the selected post audience and the user's study division.
Images
If the user chooses to create or edit a community post with images, the App uses the device image picker so the user can select images.
Selected images may be uploaded to Firebase Storage as part of the community post.
Automatically Processed Technical Data
The App and third-party services used by the App may process technical information such as:
- Device and app information.
- Crash or diagnostic information where provided by platform services.
- IP address and network information.
- Advertising identifiers or similar identifiers when ads are displayed.
- Authentication tokens required to keep the user signed in.
How We Use Information
BacHelper uses data to:
- Provide the App's study planning, lessons, reminders, Pomodoro, notes, exams, and video features.
- Save the user's study division and subjects.
- Authenticate users who choose Google sign-in.
- Enable community features such as posts, comments, likes, follows, reports, moderation, and notifications.
- Store and display user-generated community content.
- Enforce community safety rules, warnings, bans, and abuse prevention.
- Show advertisements.
- Improve app reliability and maintain core functionality.
- Notify users about study reminders or important app/community events.
Local Storage and Cloud Storage
Local Device Storage
Study data such as schedules, lessons, reminders, Pomodoro progress, video notes, app settings, and guest setup data is stored locally on the user's device using SharedPreferences.
If the user uninstalls the App or clears app data, locally stored data may be deleted.
Firebase Services
When users sign in or use online community features, BacHelper uses Firebase services, including:
Used for Google sign-in.
Used for user profiles, posts, comments, likes, follows, reports, moderation records, app configuration, and community notifications.
Used for images uploaded by users in community posts.
Firebase services are provided by Google and process data according to Google's terms and privacy practices.
Permissions Used
BacHelper requests permissions only when needed for app functionality.
Advertising and Third-Party Services
BacHelper displays ads using Google AdMob.
Google AdMob may collect and process data such as device information, advertising identifiers, approximate location derived from IP address, ad interactions, diagnostics, and other information according to Google's policies.
BacHelper does not directly control the data collected by AdMob and does not sell this data.
The App may also use:
- YouTube Player / YouTube services to display educational videos.
- Google Sign-In and Firebase Authentication for login.
- Firebase Firestore and Firebase Storage for online community features.
- Google Play services, such as in-app review or app update-related functionality.
Each third-party service may process data according to its own privacy policy.

Community Content and Public Sharing
If users use the community feature, they may publish posts, comments, replies, and images. This content may be visible to other users of the App.
Users should not post sensitive personal information, private contact details, passwords, identity documents, or content they do not have the right to share.
BacHelper may moderate, restrict, remove, or preserve certain community content where needed to protect users, investigate abuse, enforce rules, or comply with legal obligations.
Children and Students
BacHelper is designed for Baccalaureate students and is not directed to children under 13.
If the user is under the legal age required in their country to consent to data processing, they should use the App only with permission from a parent or legal guardian.
Account Creation and Account Deletion
Users can use BacHelper as a guest or sign in with Google.
Users who sign in can request deletion of their account and associated online data from within the App through:
When account deletion is requested, BacHelper attempts to delete associated account data such as:
- User profile document.
- User posts and uploaded post images.
- User comments and replies.
- Follows and social relationships.
- Reports created by the user, where allowed.
- Community notifications, bans, and related records where applicable.
Some records may be retained for a limited period if required for security, moderation, legal compliance, abuse prevention, or where deletion is technically restricted by security rules.

User Controls
Users can:
- Continue as guest without Google sign-in.
- Change their username and study division, subject to anti-abuse limits.
- Disable study notifications from inside the App.
- Delete their Google-linked account from inside the App.
- Delete local app data by clearing app storage or uninstalling the App.
- Avoid community features if they do not want to share content online.
Data Retention
Local study data remains on the user's device until the user deletes it, clears app data, or uninstalls the App.
Firebase account and community data may remain until the user deletes the account, deletes specific content where available, or requests deletion.
Moderation, safety, legal, and abuse-prevention records may be retained for a limited period when necessary.
Data Security
BacHelper uses Firebase services and platform security features to help protect user data. Access to online data is restricted by Firebase Authentication and Firestore/Storage security rules.
Users should avoid sharing sensitive personal information through community posts or comments.
Educational Content Sources
BacHelper provides access to educational exams, materials, videos, and links for learning and revision purposes.
Some content may come from publicly available educational sources or third-party platforms such as YouTube or educational websites.
BacHelper does not claim ownership of third-party educational materials.

International Data Transfers
Because BacHelper uses Google and Firebase services, user data may be processed on servers located outside the user's country, according to Google's infrastructure and policies.

Updates will be reflected in the App and/or on the app store listing where required.
